What exactly is an X Box, my kids want one and I don't have a clue?

Q. Does it play everything? Dvd's, cd's, games...if so what kind of games?

A. It is a gaming console. The XBOX and we are talking about the original XBOX not the nex XBOX 360. The XBOX does not play DVDs out of the box. It will only play DVDs if you purchase a $30 DVD playback kit. The original XBOX only plays XBOX games. The original XBOX is now I believe $149 new at most retailers and XBOX games are around $20 to $40 depending on how new the title is. Yes, the XBOX does play CDs but has problems with the CD-R format and it does better with CD-RW discs, these are discs you would burn yourself. It can play regular CDs without a problem.

recovering xbox 360 gamertag?
Q. about 6 months ago i sold my xbox 360 with all games and all downloads and i deleted my xbox live account which i paid monthly.
I recently bought a new xbox and made a nex xbox live account. Is it possible to recover that account and to recover my old gamertag?

A. You can recover the account from Live, but that doesn't recover your saves. Only your achievements and DLC history are brought with it. You also messed up by selling the downloads with the console because DLC is locked to the profile it was bought under. Unless that person has your profile, they wouldn't be able to play the DLC anyway. Once you recover it, you would need to do a license transfer if you wanted your DLC back which would then void it on the other 360.

which nex gen system is the best to you?
Q. xbox 360, ps3, or the wii?

A. for me it'll be the wii, it cheaper and innovative with online capability and old game downloads. I plan on getting a PS3 later on, but it'll be awhile.
