Which Xbox 360 is the best to get without spending loads of money?

Q. I want one for Christmas, but my mom doesn't have very much to spend.
I know the Elite is the best (obviously) but it's too expensive
The Arcade is the cheapest, but my friend said that that system only plays crappy games....
So what's my next option?

A. The Arcade can play any 360 games
For you, it seems like the arcade is the best choice.
You can get the Arcade for $200 and then a few games.

And if anything, you could just get a refurbished or pre owned xbox 360 pro
Which most definitely costs less...

You can get a refurbished xbox 360 pro with a wireless controller for $140
An Elite is $300 as you know, but its worth it.
An xbox 360 Arcade is $200 and so is the pro.

Here at gamestop.com you can see everything you need to know about prices (:

Is buying a gift card from Gamestop the only way I can get Xbox 360 points?
Q. I wanted to get points for my boyfriend for Christmas, but there are only 20 and 50 dollar increments of the two cards I have found online. I don't have an xbox, so I don't know how this system works, although I'll gladly just go into game stop and pick one up if that's my only answer!

A. Answer: No, you can also purchase points through Xbox.com or with the Xbox 360, itself, via LIVE Marketplace.

Details:
You can purchase cards in a store or you can purchase points online on Xbox.com or using the 360 in a section of the interface called LIVE Marketplace. However, to do it through the 360 or at Xbox's website, you need to first log in with your boyfriend's account. Also, doing so would cause the points to immediately show up in his account, so you wouldn't be able to buy them one day and then "present" him with points later.

If your goal is to purchase a present for him, buying a card allows you to have something to wrap and put under a Christmas tree and doesn't require that you have any knowledge about your boyfriend's Xbox LIVE account.

If you did have the information and could log into your boyfriend's account, you could choose from four different packages of points:

Xbox.com
Xbox LIVE 500 Microsoft Points bundle - $6.25
Xbox LIVE 1000 Microsoft Points bundle - $12.50
Xbox LIVE 2000 Microsoft Points bundle - $25.00
Xbox LIVE 5000 Microsoft Points bundle - $62.50

These are in contrast to the two "card" products I saw at Amazon:
Xbox LIVE 1600 Microsoft Points bundle - $19.99
Xbox LIVE 4000 Microsoft Points bundle - $49.99

Please note that all of these packages give nearly identical costs per point. Each of the two cards actually are a penny cheaper, however, as the going rate is 800 points for $10. In fact, the 1600 point card is the best deal, since it gives you the 1 cent discount for the lowest buy-in. If you were to purchase 8000 points using any combination of the non-card offers, it would cost precisely $100. If you were to purchase 8000 points worth of the 4000 point cards, you would need two, costing you $99.98. The same 8000 points in 1600 point cards (5 of them) would cost $99.95, for a total savings of 5 cents. Pointless? Maybe, but I thought I'd point it out, anyway.

The easiest way to get points without having to know your boyfriend's account information would be to order them online. I have added a link below to the Amazon page for Microsoft Point cards.

One final word of warning, though - I would avoid purchasing "used" Microsoft Point cards. The cards work by having a special code that is redeemed only once per card, then the total number of points is in the account of the first person to use the card. The only way a pre-owned card would have any points on it is if it had never been redeemed. I don't know how you could be sure of this if you were to purchase a "used" card, and I don't know what recourse you would have if your present turned out to be a worthless piece of plastic.

Hope this is helpful,

How many video games do you have?
Q. So I feel like I have way too many video games.
Just wondering how many everyone else has and how often you buy a game (you could just take how many you have and divide by how many years you've had the console).
I'm really just looking for 360/PS3 games.

A. I own an Xbox 360, not a PS3 though. I have around 75 games. I buy games once every three weeks or so, of course whenever a really awesome new game comes out I like to pre-order it, sometimes I also just go to the game shop and buy a load of older and cheaper games. I also sell games too on eBay, but never give any games back to Game or Gamestation for trade in as the prices you are given are very bad.
