Q. Like a PS3 and xbox 720, why not just make it better, becauase all the games you bought will be worthless. And if you have an old system can you still play online with the new one. I dont quite understand the point
A. Hey, Xbox 360 creators and software developers just announced that they will not be making another xbox anytime soon because they think that is stupid. WHat they did do however is make the Kinect which is selling like hotcakes right now and it is fairly new. That is why developers made the kinect so they will not have to make another console which is a very smart move. PS3 followed behind microsoft and made the PS3 move. So both these consoles just added new features to their console to make them last another 5-6 yrs atleast. Nintendo announced they are making a nitendo wii 4 because wii sales are down down down, however wii does not compare to PS3 or xbox 360 gaming. Nintendo also made a nintendo 3ds which is very stupid. Nintendo is the dumbest company. Every yr. they come out with a new ds because they forgot to add a feature to the last one. Dont get me wrong I love Mario, Zelda,etc but those friendly characters don't keep me in front of the tv for hours like call of duty, halo, gears, god of war, left for dead, infamous, uncharted. People may hate me for saying this but nintendo is old news, I think its more for kids, and the Kincect and PS3 move made nintendo wii look like old news. Also Xbox 360, Kinect and Ps3 move are more family oriented/entertaining/kid oriented.....so say goodbye wii. They are making Xbox 360 and PS3 better, they just made the console in slim versions, which are faster than the original but same console. ALso xbox 360 has integrated wifi in it and it is fast. I have the xbox slim and I love it

Q. I have heard that they want to launch them by 2011-12. However, why are they making all these upgrades like Kinect and Move. Also PS3 has made PlayStation Plus which enhances online gameplay. With these upgrades it doesn't seem they will come out with a new system soon. Also it is a lot of money to launch new systems. Do you guys have any news regarding when they plan to launch them?
A. Microsoft and Sony have said many many times that they plan a 10 year life span for their current consoles. The 360 came out in 05 and the ps3 came out in 06 so that put a new console from either around 2015. Microsoft is launching kinect and they are treating it more like new console and using it to extend the life of the 360. And PS3 has a lot of good tech in it already. What could they really add to a "PS4" that would be any better? Sony often supports their consoles for a long time so PS3 isn't going to be replaced any time soon. With updates coming to each console a couple times a year adding new features and such there is no need to release new systems as frequently as in the past. Throw in the poor economy and video game/hardware sales being down from last year and that really restricts them from making new consoles anytime soon. Not to mention the cost of making/launching a new console is said to be in the 8-9 hundred million dollar range. And the lose each company takes when selling new consoles. Sony just started making a small amount on each PS3 sold. I doubt either would go back to loosing money again just to release a new console that isn't needed or even being asked for yet.
What should I get for Christmas between an iPhone 4s or an Xbox 360 with Kinect?

Yea that's how the electronic item works. One becomes obsolete and a newer version of it is available thanks for telling us and btw Iphone 5 would be here too so should we start waiting for iPhone 5 or may be the 6th version???
And just for the record there is no new version of Xbox coming soon.
@ Carlos, sorry dude but for me and many other peoples iPhone is just another thing as every one I know has it.
@ Juan This one totally depends on your own preference as if you want a portable thing which is not dedicated to gaming and stuff but would give you the basic fun anywhere on the go. than you should go for the iPhone but if you wanna play some real games with some real graphics than you should definitely go for Xbox kinect. You would also be able to make the crowd of 6 people with you happy if you go for the Xbox kinect as the Xbox kinect sensors can accurately catch movements of 6 peoples.
