I want the microphone from the Guitar Hero World tour bundle, but i can't afford to buy the whole thing and also i already have 2 guitars so is it possible to buy just the microphone and use it with all of the other guitar hero games? A. There is a microphone available from Mad Catz you can buy for the Xbox that also as the colored controller buttons on it, which I would recommend going with. Otherwise the Rock Band Xbox 360 Microphone is available from Amazon and I am sure several other places.
Logitech also has a cordless microphone for the Xbox. if you have a spare $80.
As the other answer pointed out it is a standard USB microphone, so you could also pick up a cheap microphone from Bestbuy or Circuit City while they are still around. Just make sure it has a long cord, or you may have to purchase a USB extension cable.

A. I have lots of time spent on the GH games, since pt 2 on the ps2. I do believe the instuments are all linked to the the colors of the basic controllers and using the R1 R2 buttons. I may be mistaken about the use of either of the R Buttons... It may be the R1 L1 combination. Either way I know all of the buttons, for example on the guitar are 'linked' to the buttons on the regular controllers. Of course the Microphone would be the only one that is non-useable.
So, if I am correct, all thr guitar hero games should allow you to play with the standard controller(s). I do know as a fact that all from GH1 through GH5 are compatible.
