Q. So i just got the Xbox 360 live and want to know what a good army or military games there are . I got call of duty modern warfare 4 , what are some other good ones?
A. COD: WAW (has an awesome Nazi Zombie mode)
COD4: Modern Warfare
COD4: Modern Warfare 2 (coming in November '09)
Army of Two (I heard was good but i never played it)
Battlefields (there's a couple of 'em)
Halo 3 (i guess this could be considered like an alien military game, buy this if you want a great multiplayer game)
Halo ODST (coming out in september '09)
DO NOT BUY:
Halo Wars (unless you don't want to do the fighting)

A. It really just depends on what you want.
First Person Shooters
The Call of Duty series is really good if you like online play:
Call of Duty 4: modern warfare - probably the best out of them all (based on home many people still play it)
Call of Duty: World at War - it was ok but not great... best for the Nazi Zombies
Call of Duty: modern warfare 2 - great game, recommended for all console gamers
Call of Duty: Black Ops - The newest of the series awesome game.. you would probably like it
the Halo series is what defines the Xbox 360
Halo 3 - this is Truly what halo multiplayer is... tons of hours of fun
Halo 3: ODST - great campaign, beautiful graphics
Halo Reach - The newest of the halo series and by far the best on many aspects...
The Fallout series in my opinion has the best graphics out there and is campaign only
Fallout 3 - i love this game so much, countless hours of gameplay
Fallout: New Vegas - similar to fallout 3 but instead you are in Las Vegas, incredible game
The Left 4 Dead Series is definatly the best zombie killing game out
Left 4 Dead - Amazing a must have for any zombie killer
Left 4 Dead 2 - Also amazing

What are some fun xbox 360 online coop multiplayer games?
Q. I am trying to find xbox 360 games for me and 2 or 3 of my buddies to play over xbox live. like games that we can follow the story line together and complete it. not like black ops or halo. Something like Dead Island. Other suggestions please let me know!
Im looking for games that are more like Dead Island or GTA. Pretty free ranged games and you can still follow the story but it is not mandatory.

A. You say not like Halo, but every Halo game has had a cooperative campaign that sounds exactly like what you are looking for. Here are a few other ideas for you.
Left 4 Dead 1 and 2
Gears of War (2 player co-op for 1 and 2 expanded to 4 player for 3)
I liked the Army of Two games but it sounds like you need more people than those will handle.
