Who thinks that Rage is a really good game?
Q. I played it on Xbox 360 and it combines everything that I love about different games. It has good graphics and instead of walking across large plains of land to complete quests i think its beast that you can drive around. This game deserves more credit than it is given. Feedback?

A. Id's "Rage" is the company's first game since 2004's "Doom 3" for the PC. Id is also responsible for several innovative first-person shooters such as the original "Wolfenstein" and "Quake". They have set the standard for FPS games on the market for several years, but "Rage" is their first game that doesn't break new ground. It is a technical marvel with a terrific enemy A.I., but the game is more or less "Fallout: New Vegas" without the RPG elements. "Borderlands" is also a game that easily comes to mind when seeing "Rage" in action. It is a post-apocalyptic story that doesn't tread any new ground when it comes to gun-play either. However, the fast and furious action is extremely well done. Enemies hound on you until you back up into a corner and plug away. It's a great experience after too many shooters that simply offer the player cannon-fodder baddies.

Yes, while "Rage" lacks an original story (or a vocal protagonist), it envelopes the player with great action segments that manages to entertain. The game is composed of mainly "fetch" missions that will prove to be tiresome at certain moments. But the monotony is also broken up by the open-ended nature of the game. You are given freedom to play as you please. So you can either play through the story missions and nothing more. Or you can decide to take on side-missions which can be all-out assaults or sniper duty. Also as you browse around town, you can get involved in bets including races and car combat scenarios. As you progress, your weapons can be modified as well as your vehicle. As you travel through the wasteland, you will also be able to complete mini-assignments such as capturing icons and combating enemy vehicles. As you complete missions, you'll be able to sell inventory items or combine them to make weapons or combat items.

The single-player mode is around 20 hours and it's quite solid. Multiplayer modes, on the other hand, are just fun diversions. The two player cooperative missions are from the "Spec Ops" school of "Modern Warfare 2". While there are only seven, each are quite different and challenging. Competitive mode offers four car combat scenarios with only about 5 maps. Overall, it plays like "Twisted Metal"-lite. I bought "Rage" for the 360 and have had fun with it. However, the game isn't great. It's only good. If you could only buy one game this fall, I'd say "Gears of War 3" or "Batman: Arkham City" would be legitimate choices. "Rage" would only be a 3 star game as oppose to a 4 star game which the previous two would qualify for. However, if you're a big Id fan, then I'd say the product is worth the money if you are a completionist.

While I would've wanted "Rage" to have been better, it's still a good game. So for that, I am happy. Pros: Gunfights are tense, weapons are great, controls are tight and the graphics are pretty. Cons: Unoriginal concept. Too linear for an "open world" shooter. Numerous and lengthy loading screens. Multiplayer (coop.. While I would've wanted "Rage" to have been better, it's still a good game. How do you control your anger while playing video games?
Q. For example:

You're playing Call of Duty and a player from the other team throws a random grenade and kills you. You respawn. Right when you spawn a sniper from the other team kills you.

Basically its bullshit.

At this point you want to throw your controller, but controllers from Xbox 360's and PS3's cost too much money to break, so how do you control your anger?

A. I've broken 2 controllers because I had got angry playing games, I soon learnt that getting angry over computer games isn't worth it.

You should add some 'nice' games into your collection. I play Little Big Planet, it's good, you can help other players complete levels in co-op mode and share things with each other.
